I know it's hard to believe but we are almost at the end of another school year!!! What a year it has been!!!
This year saw the wonderful addition of the Kindergarten classes to our school and the hard times of being separated from each other and placed in five different schools. We've been through it and survived.
The band test results are back and those selected to further their music education in grade seven band have received their acceptance letters. It is always a difficult time for everyone. So many students would like to be in band but there are only 60 chosen and students from four different elementary schools all take the band test. I'm very proud to say that 30 Elm Street students made the grade seven band. Yay!!!
This next week we'll have our school Olympics, our June Assembly, and our Grade Six closing ceremonies. I'll be glad to have all our grade six students back this week to have our final rehearsals for the closing songs," Don't Ever Give Up" and " I Believe I Can Fly". The singers do a fabulous job of conveying the messages of these songs. Brave!!!
