Music Festival

Congratulations to our three Elm Street Choirs: The Primary Choir, The Girls Choir, and The Boys Choir on their excellent performances in the 2015 East Prince Music Festival All three choirs received a Gold standing along with very positive comments from the adjudicator. Way to go choirs. I am very proud of you.

Music participation provides a unique opportunity for literacy preparation. Whether the children are listening, singing, or playing, they listen and hear in new ways which exercises their aural discrimination. Playing instruments and adding movement to the lessons teaches children about sequential learning which is essential in reading comprehension.
